The united state department of defense through the US African command, Africom. has provided personal protective equipment worth $144,000, to support covid19 prevention in the military and civilian medical facilities. the items was giving to states like Lagos, Kano, Akwa ibom, Cross-river and the Federal capital territory.
A statements given by the US Embassy in Abuja says, that the ceremonial hand over of the items to the Nigerian military took place at the 063 Nigerian Air force hospital in Abuja.

Ahlaji Babangida Hussaini and the US charged affair Kathleen FitzGibbon preceded over the event, it says the minister of health Doctor Osagei inaugurated the 063 Nigeria Air force hospital as the Covid19 treatment center in June 2020, to serve as the primary military Covid19 isolation and treatment center in Abuja.
